Fantastic Reunion. Thanks to reunion committee for a great job. It was great seeing old friends and renewing old friendships. I sincerely hope we can stay in contact with one another. You forget how important friends are until you haven't seen them in 20 or 30 years. Safe trip home everybody.

Great reunion-any time the class '79 is together is fun-nice that RR & Central were together. Thanks for good reunion & school days memories. Still remember age 5 and Jan walking to our trailer-fun times then & now! The weather was super also-this weekend went tooo fast! P.S.- someone indicated that my name was wrong-it was originally listed that way-I DID change it to include my maiden name VOTAVA but it still appeared without it-
Thank you to ALL who worked to make the reunion possible.

Thanks to the people who organized the reunion. It was fun. I am glad I came. The weather was perfect and it seems like we have a class of really nice people who we can be proud of.

I posted a photo of the group of us who posed for the synchronized swimming like our old posters and programs.

Thanks Carol for bringing those.

OK where do I start...mmmmmmmmmm...
Special thanks to the commitee for all of the work they put in to make this a special event for everyone.
I was amazed at all of the poeple that did show up and travel from all over the US. We had more poeple that lived in GF that did not show up than classmates that had to travel...just kidding!!!

To show what kind of classmates we have I will list a few comments from my wife Sheri...

1. I wished I could have gone to school with all of your classmates...they are so much fun.

2. I have not laughed that much in years(I am not sure how to take that one)

3. She asked a few poeple that she wanted to hear all of the old stories..."they were all true" plus a few that I forgot to mention to her.

4. She was asked at the bonfire on Saturday by one classmates if she would have gone out with me in high school...her response was "Hell No"...smart girl!

5. The biggest compliment was that she never felt like a spouse...she felt like she was part of the class...this shows what kind of class and special poeple we were fortunate to go through some of the most challenging times of our lives with.

Do we have to wait until the 40 year to do this again????

Super job by the reunion committee!! I vote that you are all in charge for the next one also. I am sure all of the other classmates can do their part by helping to get the word out about the website to those that didn't make it this year. I know that once the people that didn't make it hear from all of their old friends that a good time was had by all, I am sure we can get even more people back the next time around. Best wishes to all. K

We had the best time all week. Thanks to everyone we saw ( even the snubber). I am still trying to catch up with sleep. Let's go again soon. I like the 5 year thing or maybe 2.5 with a cruise!! Can you imagine you guys and Me on a cruise together. NOW thats entertainment.
Now just a reminder that Diana Welter is my cousin and always has been. That's why I didn't date her. Now you know.
Thanks Kerri Anderson for the picture of me and Pauline at the bonefire. You are awesome.
What a great time I had with Pauline. I'm so glad you were there. Golf was fun thanks to those that came even after Lincoln screwed up the tee time. I got to play 4 times that week and actually got better each time. Thanks Kerry Moore for your support of the picnic. I had a good time with volleyball and meeting than beating Richard and the Marine. Say hi to Chris the star of our team.
More to come.

Just arrived back in California - had so much fun with everyone on Saturday! I never feel like I've been away for long. I loved all the stories from growing up, had a ton of laughs, and you all looked AMAZING even though we're all old now. haha Let's do this again with the Central class of '79 - I got to see some good friends from Jr High and that was a blast!

My husband and I volunteered to help at Julie's benefit and the turn out was unbelievable. The donations and people attending were overwhelming. Julie, I hope this benefit will help you and your family as you fight your battle with breast cancer. We will be thinking of you. Darla Feilen (Nelson)

HELLO!!!

I posted a new topic on the User Forum...

"50TH BIRTHDAY REUNION PARTY"

Viggy & I were talking last week and we thought it would be great if we all do something for when we all turn the big "50" ...
We discussed Cancun, Cabo, etc and then discussed a cruise... All inclusive... just need to get there...
so... the year would be 2011...
Need feedback on dates, possible locations, if anyone is or is related to a travel agent or works on cruise line... etc...
Keep the comments coming and posts on the user forum...

What do you think?
:)

I had a great time and lots of people didn't make it to this reunion. I have mentioned a cruise to a few people and have gotten a good response. We need more feedback. We can use this forum and facebook. Look me up and let me know. I have seen some 5 day cruise here out of Tampa for 199 per person so there are some deals out there.

CRUISIN.... on a Tuesday afternoon...
(sorry - the tune is going through my thead LOL)

I have been corresponding with a travel agent regarding a July, 2011 Classmate Cruise to celebrate our "50th Birthdays" ... for those who would want to do so.
I am awaiting a few more quotes and then will get the info out to Brad and to all you... Looking at quotes on Mexican Riviera, Bahama, Alaskan, and possibly one more.
The pricing is looking real good... and she will also help set up a payment plan for those interested probably through Brad & our website.
WOW!!! The thought of celebrating my birthday on a cruise instead of a BBQ or dinner out seems exciting... especially since I love to travel... not sure how you all feel. (wait til you see the pictures of the ports... :) and so many things to do!!)
Take care...
Barb
